• Jalen Allen is a Clinical Counselor at Anderson University, a Christian college in the Upstate of South Carolina. He specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Before entering the counseling field, Jalen served his local church for many years as a Youth Ministry Resident and small group leader, guiding the same group of students from middle school through high school graduation. His ministry experience also extends to worship, preaching, speaking at multiple camps, and officiating two weddings. It was his time as a small group leader that ultimately shaped his calling to become a Licensed Counselor, where he discovered a deep passion for meeting students where they are and walking alongside them with genuine care. Jalen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a focus on Youth Ministry and Adolescent Development, as well as a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, both from Southern Wesleyan University. Jalen lives in the upstate of South Carolina with his wife and their cats. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, playing music, watching football, and gaming.
